About Hansens

Harold Hansen was one of the original founders of Greenfield Fox Hansen (GFH) back in 1973.

Beginning as a 2 partner firm, constant growth saw 4 new partners admitted and a second office established in Glen Waverley.

Several years later the partnership dissolved. This was due to some of the partners wanting to be located in different geographical locations.

Harold, together with Ron Bray, continued to operate the Glen Waverley office, which soon grew to a 5 partner practice.

In 1992 Harold attended a “Results Accountants Systems Bootcamp” which opened his eyes to some non-traditional opportunities that his firm could pursue that could have spectacular results for its clients.

On return from Bootcamp, Harold set about developing and implementing Business Development strategies with his clients. During this time he worked closely with Lisa Stribley and Trevor Schoenmaekers in proactively looking for ways to help clients grow their businesses.

Unfortunately this change in direction was not supported by his then partners.

So Harold made the decision to break away from Greenfield Fox Hansen and establish is own, totally separate firm.

And on 1 July 1997 Hansen & Co Pty Ltd was born.  In early 1998 Harold invited Trevor and Lisa to join him as partners of the firm.

On 1 July 2002 Brett Hansen was admitted as partner. Since commencing with the firm in 1998, after several years in industry, Brett has developed a strong and growing client base.

In September 2006, we were pleased to have Darren Putland join our team and take on the role of heading up our new Financial Planning division aptly named - Financial Wisdom. 

Darren comes to us with over 9 years experience in personal and business financial planning and specialises in the much sought after estate planning (insurance) and superannuation markets.

Today our 4 partners, together with Darren and our growing team have created a business that works closely with clients like you. It’s a service for clients who want more than just annual taxation and accounting work, we are a "One-Stop Wealth Creation Shop".
